Tiny prompted poems

During these backbreaking two weeks, my simple joy was to scroll my poetry-dedicated Instagram while commuting, whether by train or car, and often stumbled upon prompts for tiny poems–those simple tasks that don’t require a lot of editing and thinking not to mention designing, which is essential for my refining process. All I need is to type on their comment sections or story questions. Quick and effortless, a good exercise. But when I saw others’ featured works, full of love and tributes, I have to bitterly swallow how cynical I am in nature.

Gonna keep them here. As always: for keepsakes.

A 35-word for @poetrysupportedbybt
Prompt: Will you walk beside me on the days I

Will you walk beside me on the days
I’ve become a tree, deeply rooted,
a wildflower swaying along with the wind?
For it’s my helplessness you desire,
an imagined version of me that you love.
